The VAT on diesel and tolls is counted country by country, from real saved trips. Not «roughly, across Europe» but how much in Poland and how much in Germany — and how much of it you will actually see.

The 8th or the 13th Directive — and a deadline three months earlier

An EU company files ONE electronic claim through its own portal, by 30 September of the following year. A non-EU company files separately in EACH state — and only has until 30 June. Confusing the two costs a whole year's claim.

A till receipt is not yet a document

A tax office refunds against documents, not against an estimate. A till slip with no buyer company on it is not a VAT invoice — and the service says so the moment you photograph it, not a year later in a refusal.

Only SAVED trips go into the claim. Routes you merely priced never do — a dispatcher costs dozens and runs a handful.
